Petr Štourač welcomed everyone to the opening organizational meeting of AKUTNĚ.CZ in 2025, reflecting on the achievements of 2024. He expressed gratitude to all collaborators for their hard work. He summarized the key events and milestones of the year, including the remarkable achievement of selling 211,000 copies of the magazine "S Penny u stolu."
A well-established tradition of these annual kickoff meetings is the announcement of the Algorithm of the Year Competition Winner. Between November 9, 2024, and January 6 2025, AKUTNĚ.The CZ community voted for their favourite virtual patient from 13 published algorithms from last year's edition. The winning team is rewarded with the satisfaction of a job well done, a tin of fabulous coffee, a diploma, a beautiful glass trophy, and an unforgettable dinner.
Creating algorithms is one of the most time-consuming and rewarding activities within AKUTNĚ.CZ platform. All algorithms are available bilingual (in Czech and English), include original multimedia, and serve as a valuable educational tool for medical students and doctors preparing for their exams and clinical practice. The author teams thrive under the guidance of Dr. Hana Harazim, the e-learning coordinator. All published algorithms are accessible from here.
