The AKUTNĚ.CZ portal brings you another expressively developed, very up-to-date algorithm: Anaesthesia of a COVID-19 positive patient developed by the team of doctors of AKUTNĚ.CZ portal: Deana Slovjaková, MD and Eva Klabusayová, MD; on the basis of the recommendations Czech Society of Intensive Medicine and the Australian Society of Anesthesiologists. The algorithm was reviewed by a dr. Kutěj from University Hospital Ostrava.

Number of patients infected with COVID-19 worldwide is still growing. The risk of transfer of infection to the medical personnel is high, especially when aerosol generating procedures are done, for example intubation. Anaesthesia of COVID-19 positive patients has it's specifics, which must be taken into account, due to safety of the patient and due to safety of the medical personnel as well.
