Team AKUTNĚ.CZ is reporting from Hall E of the Brno Exhibition Center, which is again after two years filled by the anesthesia and intensive medicine specialists. In this article you will find out, what are the points of interest for participants of the XXVI.Congress of the Czech Society of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Medicine prepared by the organizing committee.
Dr. Černý, president of the congress, took charge of the opening ceremony of the congress. After a brief presentation of the congress leadership, Dr. Repko greeted the participants as the representative of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. The award of the most successful publications for the year 2018 could not be missed. Another pleasant part of the congress was the launch of the publications, after which the program continued with the awarding of honorable mentions. Following the lunch break, the congress wheels turned to full speed and the lecture halls were filled with eager listeners. In the individual blocks, lessons took place in the form of lectures, seminars and simulations in the sections of gynecology, obstetrics, anesthesia and finally intensive medicine.
On Thursday, the lessons continued at a brave pace. In addition to the topics discussed, a panel discussion of young anesthesiologists was held. The discussion went in the direction of the most important changes in the attestation program of anesthesiology, intensive medicine and algesiology.
On Friday, as the last day of the congress, the auditoriums were filled again to the last seat and the final lessons continued until the afternoon. Eventually the time has come, and we had a moment to say goodbye to this year's ČSARIM. Dr. Černý took the liberty and thanked the Scientific and Organizational Committee, also to all sponsors. The winners were announced in the framework of individual awards. The complete conclusion of Dr. Černý’s speech was about the importance of such events and he wished all the participants a happy journey home.
