Interactive educational algorithm "Acute coronary syndrome" describes the case of a patient with an acute myocardial infarction from the view of a general practitioner. In few steps, it addresses the main issues every physician should be able to deal with, and also indicates the common mistakes, that should be avoided. In the case of a serious suspicion of acute MI, it emphasizes the prompt transfer to specialized centre and prevention of delay, that could have serious adverse consequences. Basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in ambulance service and cathlab are depicted, as well as the recommended long-term medication.
