Hyperthermia
You are preparing for a charity race held by a local hospital. It's July, and the temperature has been over 30°C /85 °F in the shade for several weeks. The race starts next week. What will you be focusing on during your preparations for the race?
I'll rest at least a week before the race, and I will drink 0,5l of pure water on an empty stomach right before the race to prevent dehydration.
I will rest at least a week before the race. It's too hot to train anyway. In the evening before the race, I can go to a pub to freshen up and prepare for the race. Beer is full of minerals, so it’s a good isotonic drink.
Training with adequate intensity according to the distance of the race, drinking sufficiently, wearing appropriate sports clothing. I will remember to hydrate adequately during the race and bring non-alcoholic bottled beverages.
