Triage
An accident of a bus and several cars on a highway near Brno has been reported to the public safety answering point by multiple callers. The preliminary estimation is 60 injured. You are the physician in charge - what do you do after arrival at the scene?
I start assessing the injured immediately.
I specify the access routes to the site of the incident, estimate the number of injured, evaluate the risks for the emergency workers, request the cooperation of other emergency services crews, assign work to all medical personnel at the site.
I evaluate the risks for the emergency workers, when the triage is completed report the numbers of patients regarding the severity of their injuries.
