Ischemic cerebrovascular accident
55 years old man was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The ambulance was called by his wife at 17:10 because of acute hemiparesis of the right side and speech disorder. Duration of the symptoms was about one hour. What diagnostic methods should be used at first considering measured values?
Examination
According to the anamnesis, he was treated for moderate hypertension and ischemic heart disease. Ambulance exploration found out an atrial fibrillation. The patient takes ASA (100 mg per day) and amlodipin (5mg per day). He is a long time smoker and he usually visit pubs several times per week.
