Obstetric Analgesia

A healthy primigravida (39th week of pregnancy) comes into hospital. The woman in labour (29 years old) says that her water has already broken and that she has been having uterine contractions. The obstetric examination is performed and it shows a singleton pregnancy with cephalic presentation, left occipitoanterior position, cephalic presentation, cervical dilation of 3 cm, cervix of firm consistency, normal CTG. The uterine contractions are becoming regular. What will happen with the woman in labour?
