Difficult Airway Management

A patient has suffered a cerebral stroke. She has been diagnosed and treated during your shift. She is in the stroke unit, where she is currently being monitored (SpO2, ECG, NIBP, HR, consciousness) and the thrombolytic therapy - alteplase - has been administered. The neurological status of the patient is improving. Now, 1 hour after the infusion of alteplase, the patient’s eyelids, lips and tongue have swollen. Lung auscultation: wheezing. Patient is experiencing dyspnoea. What complication has occured?
